Hold My Hand Gelicure and Softer Soles v2.0 Pedi.
What is your ideal Saturday like? Snuggle in bed with my tea and my book for the first hour. FaceTime with my parents. The rest of the day is with my guy. Get a good work-out in at Equinox, Beverly Hills. Walk to lunch nearby at any of my favorite spots like Café M, Bouchon, Sugarfish, or Il Pastaio. Browse at some boutiques. Get a massage at Montage or of course, a mani-pedi at Bellacures. Come home to see my pups and dress for the evening. Try a new spot for dinner with friends.
Do you ever get nail art?
Yes, nail art is the perfect pick-me-up, when I feel too grown-up or stuck in a routine. I don’t experiment with my hair, so my nails are the perfect canvas for self-expression. I am a creative person, and I love the arts. So for me, it’s literally art at my fingertips, allowing me to emulate any character from popular culture or one my favorite artists. I also play with themes and seasons…the options are limitless. I only have one rule – keep it classy. I still have to run meetings the next day.
Best drink to go with a mani?
A fresh pina-coco-mint mocktail. It’s a refreshing, hydrating, yummy, and healthy. I carry mine to Bellacures. It’s perfect for a weekend afternoon. Here’s the recipe: ½ pineapple, 1 cup of ice, 2 cups chilled coconut water, 1 lime. Fresh mint. Mix pineapple, coconut water, lime juice, mint leaves, and ice and blend until super smooth. Pour into a clear plastic glass. Enjoy getting silly without your head feeling like a willy.
Who is your WCW (Woman Crush Wednesday)?
What color nail polish would you wear on vacation to Paris?
Depends on who I’m going with and in what season. If with my man, then rosy pinks. He loves soft pastels like Mademoiselle, Ballet Slippers. If with girls, then something bright like Coming Up Roses by Butter London.
Drugstore or department store beauty products?
Organic Oils from Whole Foods – Coconut, Almond, and Sesame – they are great for the hair and skin.
Matching nail and toe polish colors?
Some times, Yes. And at times, it’s business up top and party on ground floor.
What is your key to feeling beautiful no matter how busy you are?
A shiny mani-pedi, a fresh blowout, and well-groomed brows.
Buy a cake or make one?
Definitely Buy. Experts exist for a reason. I would much rather make someone feel special by writing them a nice note or painting them a card.
What charity(ies) is closest to your heart?
Akshaya Patra – they incentivize 1.5MM children living below the poverty line to continue with their primary education by providing them with freshly cooked meal on all school days.
Who do you admire most?
Strong women who lead with grace and grit, who overcome challenges and make an impact in their families and communities everyday. These are not always the women we see in the media, but the everyday woman who doesn’t even know how powerful she truly is, and does it without the need for recognition. What I want to ask these women, is “What motivates you to be so good, even when you know know one is looking”
Favorite hair style?
I have long hair – love wearing it in different ways depending on my mood and the occasion. A high pony, low bun, French braid, a slick blowout, or naturally curly when I’m at the beach.
