Come September 1st, it’s officially fall in the beauty world! We don’t make the rules. But we are spilling the tea on the most popular seasonal nail colors and trending styles from early fall through to Thanksgiving. Compliment fall fashion essentials with the color of the moment. Here’s how nail trends will evolve over the season. 

Sliding Into Fall:

In our hearts, it’s fall, but the truth is – in Southern California, summer lasts well into October. Don’t be surprised to see soft summer shades like Sky True To Yourself while the sun is still in full effect. Soak up those last minute pool days and late morning brunches with friends. 

Not surprisingly, Hailey Bieber’s viral glazed donut nails aren’t going anywhere… and we’re excited to see how they evolve, with colored spins on the original style. So if you haven’t tried this glossy trend yet, you’re not too late!

We’ll also be seeing a lot of earth tones and olive greens like Suzi – The First Lady of Nails. Selena Gomez was recently spotted in this hue and it’s definitely the color you need to try right now.

You can’t go wrong with any color in OPI’s Fall Wonders Collection. With warm notes of blue, yellow and red, these hues will perk up any brisk fall day.

Hues for the Halloween:

As October approaches, expect to see lots of bewitching blacks like Licorice. This magnetic jet black is sure to become a staple – just like your favorite fall faux leather duds. Hone in on the negative space trend with black French tips for an effortlessly stylish nod to a classic French manicure. 

We also expect to see cool and subtle grays like Petal Pushers, Mooning and It’s Ashually OPI. These shades are dark and moody for October nights, but chic and neutral to wear all through November. 

If you’re in the mood to try something fun, consider adding asymmetrical foil accents for an unexpected glitz of gold. We’ll be seeing a lot of foil as the year starts to wrap up.

Vamp it Up:

Red is always in season, especially in Fall! Let those nails pop with very red reds like OPI Red. This classic shade has a subtle sparkle making it perfect for any occasion.Looking for a darker, sexier, vampy look for date night? Look no further than Malaga Wine.

Looking for less sheen? Make it matte! Matte manis are on the rise and will continue throughout the season.
