Ramona Saviss is a Los Angeles­ based writer and editor. An LA­ native, Ramona loves to write about all things LA—though she will tell you her favorite part of being a journalist is meeting new people and sharing their personal stories through intimate interviews. Ramona is currently the Deputy Editor at Los Angeles Confidential magazine. When she’s not writing about the hottest happenings in the city, you could find Ramona front and center at a Lakers game or daydreaming about her next getaway. Previously, Ramona helped launch digital platforms Time Out Los Angeles and Merry Jane. What is your key to feeling beautiful no matter how busy you are?

Regular manis—I can’t stand having chipped nails and it happens often as I’m typing all day! And… a little Agent Provocateur never hurt.

What is your greatest strength?

Do you have a go­ to nail polish color?

I love all things CND Vinyl Lux and OPI Infinity Shine—they really last at least a week!—but my go­to colors are definitely by Essie: Sugar Daddy when I need a quick fix, Berry Naughty for going out, Bobbing for Baubles for Netflix and chill days, Smoking Hot for when I’m indecisive, and Marshmallow for a weekend getaway…

What is your go­to restaurant and/or bar in town?

Breakfast and tea: Cecconi’s
Brunch: Hotel Bel Air
Lunch: Fred’s at Barneys
Dinner: Guelaguetza—I have a thing for a ll t hings Mexican.
Drinks: I like the vibe at Bar Toscana, afternoon wine with girl friends at Zinque, and of course Gracias Madre’s bar program—it’s one of the best in the city!

Favorite fad workout (if any)?

I tried aerial yoga once and loved it—it feels like I’m flying!—but I love working out regularly with my trainer Lejla Rose.

Beauty product(s) you can not live without?

My biggest beauty secret is using Lebanese rose water regularly as a natural toner.

Drugstore or department store beauty products?

Mix and match! I’ll use Maybelline’s Baby Lips in hot pink as much as my YSL lipstick in #44.

Best way to stay youthful looking?

Vacation and eye cream…and regular massages from Tomoko Spa in Beverly Hills.

Who is your beauty crush?

Olga Lorencin (from Kinara Skin Care Clinic & Spa), she’s my fairy godmother… for flawless skin!

Your go­to outfit for work is….

Helmut Lang blazer or Sandro leather jacket, skinny black Mother/J Brand jeans, Aquazzura/Chanel/Tom Ford/Manolo (take your pick!) stilettos, and a white Jenni Kayne or Maje blouse…

Buy a cake or make one?

Buy a cake, and eat it too… 😉

Could you ever go vegan?

A bsolutely, especially with all the delicious vegan restos in LA right now!
